What ingredients does Thrive Market avoid?
Trusted Ingredients What we leave out is just as important: Our products are 100% non-GMO and we restrict 1,000+ ingredients (like artificial flavors, antibiotics, synthetic nitrates and nitrites, and parabens) because of their effects on your family’s health and our planet. Thrive Market does not sell items that contain artificial flavors, synthetic colors, antibiotics, synthetic nitrates and other nitrites, and parabens. Most of the items they sell are organic and all are non-GMO. However, they still carry many items that I personally would not use.
Are Thrive products safe?
Absolutely. As proof positive, we’ve banned hundreds of ingredients that do not meet our safety and ethical standards with our Banned from Beauty™ List. Using clean ingredients in our makeup and skincare formulations is important for several reasons, primarily relating to skin health and safety. We’re intentional about our formulations, choosing to leave out ingredients that don’t reflect our approach to clean beauty. That’s why you won’t find sulfates, formaldehyde, mineral oil, DEA, paraffin wax, parabens, or certain types of fragrances in our products.
