Why can’t I find Nespresso Vertuo pods?
It’s important to know that Nespresso® currently holds a patent on Vertuo-compatible capsules (at least until July 21, 2029). This means that, unfortunately, it is not possible to produce them—at least for now. As such, they tend to be larger and contain more coffee grounds (and thus, more caffeine per pod). For example, the Carafe Pour-Over Style pod can whip up 18 ounces of coffee in one go!

Can I use generic Vertuo pods?
Unlike the original line of Nespresso pods, the VertuoLine design is proprietary and protected by a legal patent. This means that third-party pod manufacturers (like us) are unable to design a similar style of pod. This proprietary design includes a barcode on the pod’s rim. Only Nespresso is allowed to make Vertuo pods. Why are Nespresso pods so hard to find?

If you double tap the brew button on your Nespresso machine, it gives you a ristretto on espresso sizes, a double espresso on mug sizes and a single espresso on all other sizes.
