What type of church is Cornerstone Community Church?
Cornerstone Community Church is a branch of Church of God of Prophecy, a Pentecostal church of Christian believers in 136 nations around the world. We are called Cornerstone Community Church because we want to be a church of the community for the community at the heart of community life. Cornerstone is a nondenominational church with roots in the theology of John Wesley and the Methodist movement. Cornerstone exists to be an example of the Church that Jesus described, and Christians modeled in the early Christian movement.
Is coffee allowed in Christianity?
We are free to do anything that is not sinful and the Bible tells us what is sinful and what is not. The Bible does not say that it is a sin to drink coffee or that it is a sin to have caffeine. Coffee as we know it today likely did not exist during biblical times. At least, there is no official record or documentation about this intoxicating strong drink.The Bible teaches us that we should not be mastered by anything, including food and drink. Therefore, if coffee becomes a habit or an addiction that controls your life, then it is considered a sin. However, if you can enjoy coffee in moderation without it controlling your life, then it is not a sin.
