What is the difference between Nespresso Citiz and Platinum?
What is the difference between the Nespresso Citiz and the Nespresso Citiz Platinum? More than just a difference in colour, the Nespresso Citiz Platinum offers a choice of 4 cup sizes: espresso (40 ml), lungo (110 ml), americano (150 ml) and Americano XL (200 ml). The CitiZ&Milk is my first Nespresso machine and I love how easy it is to use! The simple 2 button design lets you choose the size of coffee you would like, depending on the capsule you put in to it. Whether you like your coffee hot or iced, this machine puts out a great tasting cup.All Original Nespresso machines have an Espresso (small) and Lungo (large) cup button. They should pour your coffee to 40ml and 110ml, respectively. If the pour volumes on your machine are different to this, the cup size settings may have been changed or the machine may need to be descaled.
Is Nespresso real espresso?
Nespresso is not espresso. So this is not just a ratio problem, but a brew method difference. Even a shot of espresso with a particular bean can be brewed differently depending on preferences. A Nespresso machine is trying it’s best to give you a espresso like drink in a consumer friendly package. Nespresso machines should be cleaned nearly daily if they’re being used regularly. Otherwise, residue will pile up inside, which can cause blockages and lead to a buildup of dangerous bacteria.After descaling your Nespresso machine, run at least two full water-only cycles without coffee pods. Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water each time. This flushes out any remaining descaling solution from the internal pipes and heating element. Avoid using soap or detergents, as they can damage the machine.At Real Coffee we recommend an espresso size of 40ml, with a lungo of 100ml. If you prefer your coffee extra strong, adjust the size of your espresso to 30ml and your lungo to 80ml. You can also reset your Nespresso® machine to its default settings.
Can I use Starbucks capsules in a Nespresso machine?
