Single-origin coffees may come from a single farm, multiple farms from the same country, or just a blend of the coffees grown from that country. It could also mean an entire country which produces a comprehensive variety of beans, such as Brazil, Colombia, and Vietnam. Single-origin coffees are particularly unique and are known to stand out for their flavour diversity which is what makes these coffees so novel. Is arabica coffee single-origin?

How to know if coffee is single-origin?
Single origin coffee means that the coffee beans were grown and processed from the same location or crop (and often the same farm). Usually, single origin coffee is differentiated with a specific country on its packaging (see Kona Coffee or Indonesia Sumatra Coffee as examples). If a coffee comes from one farm or producer, we often name it after that farm or producer. A good example of this is Finca El Puente from Marcala, Honduras, a farm owned and named by Moises and Marysabel Caballero. Another possibility is that a coffee comes from a producing group within a limited geographical area.
