Is the Misfit Market profitable?
Since the company’s inception, misfits market has saved over 210 million pounds of food. With the acquisition of imperfect foods in 2023, misfits market is on track to reach $1 billion in sales, but as of 2024, they are still not profitable. While misfits claims its prices are up to 30% cheaper than what you’d find in grocery stores, at times i find the produce offered to be a little pricey (mind you it is organic). There are also certain staples misfits doesn’t offer, like bananas. I normally supplement with trips to my local grocery store.Although it depends on the item, for my area, I’d say Misfit’s Market prices are on average: slightly more expensive than Aldi/Lidl, around the same price as Trader Joe’s, and significantly cheaper than non-sale prices at Whole Foods/Harris Teeter/Publix.
Who is Misfit Market owned by?
