Is the AeroPress metal filter worth it?
The AeroPress Stainless Steel Filter allows oils to pass through for a somewhat fuller-bodied cup of coffee, whereas the paper micro-filter keeps out those oils for a smoother, grit-free flavor profile. Whichever filter you use, you’re sure to make a delicious cup! Maybe an unpopular opinion in this community, but I regret buying this thing. I purchased the AeroPress Premium because I wanted my coffee filtered through a paper filter and no plastics involved. The whole thing feels like a gimmick and I paid a ridiculous amount of money ($200) for a mediocre coffee maker.
