How does Nespresso know cup size?
The drink size of each pod is specific to each capsule type dictated by that special barcode on the pod; there’s Alto, Mug, Gran Lungo, Double Espresso or Espresso. Why is my Nespresso not giving me a full cup?
If the amount of water has changed on one or all of the coffee buttons, it may be that the automatic settings of the coffee volume has been changed. Choose you’r machine here and then go to Programming the water volume. If you double tap the brew button on your Nespresso machine, it gives you a ristretto on espresso sizes, a double espresso on mug sizes and a single espresso on all other sizes.If your Nespresso only gives you half a cup, its most likely that you accidentally reprogrammed the pour volume. How to force reset Nespresso?
Turn the machine OFF by pushing the lever down for 3 seconds. To enter Factory settings mode, push the button and the lever down at the same time for 3 seconds. With machine turned off, press and hold down the Lungo button for 5 seconds. LEDS will blink fast 3 times to confirm machine has been reset to factory settings.
