Where can I return Podback?
Working with retailers and local authorities we’ve expanded the service, meaning you can now drop off your pods when you’re visiting the supermarket or recycling centre. This nationwide network of local recycling points will continue to grow in the coming months. Podback offers a range of options for recycling plastic and aluminium pods, including drop-off points at local authority recycling centres, supermarkets and coffee shops.The coffee pods you recycle with Podback are taken to specialist aluminium and plastics reprocessing plants in the UK. They don’t have to travel far to be transformed into something new. Aluminium pods are reprocessed in Cheshire. Plastic pods are reprocessed in Yorkshire.There’s no need to scoop out your pods, but please drain them of any remaining liquid before putting them in your Podback bag. When you recycle with Podback the coffee grounds are recovered and sent for recycling along with other food wastes.Toss the aluminum top (its materials can’t be recycled when soiled), toss or compost the coffee grounds and the paper filter, and then rinse the plastic pod and add it to your recycling bin.
Is Podback recycling free?

Pop into the selected Morrisons stores and find the free Podback bags. There are different coloured bags depending on the pods you wish to recycle. There will be one bag for aluminium pods and one for plastic pods. In some places, recycling programs offer 5 cents for each plastic bottle under 24 ounces, and 10 cents for the larger ones. That means collecting 400 small bottles or just 200 large bottles could put $20 in your pocket. Even when returns are smaller in areas without deposits, the real reward goes beyond money.You can’t recycle mesh and plastic shopping bags with other types of plastic waste, such as bottles, tubes, and containers. That’s because soft plastics can catch in traditional recycling machinery.
