Illy’s Arabica coffees are preferred by northern Italians, while southern Italians prefer the strong flavor of Lavazza’s Arabica-Robusta blends. Most Italians consider Illy to be a higher-end product for use in espresso, while Lavazza is preferred for stovetop brewing at home.Espresso is 100% arabica, whereas the Rossa is an arabica/robusta blend.
