What is the difference between Vertuo and Original Nespresso?
The most significant difference between Nespresso’s vertuo and original lines is the brewing method. Vertuo machines use the brand’s signature centrifusion technology, which spins the pod at high speeds to blend water and coffee evenly. But at the core of each line is a shared brewing system: original machines use high pressure for a classic espresso experience, while vertuo models rely on centrifugal force and barcode technology to brew a wider variety of cup sizes, from espresso to full coffee mugs. Also original does espresso (40ml) and lungo (110ml). Vertuo is first party capsules only, so you’ll have to order from nespresso. Vertuo capsules come in espresso, double espresso, gran lungo and mug sizes. Vertuo uses a different means of extraction ( centrifusion ) which produces a slightly foamy head to the coffee.A: Only the Nespresso VertuoLine machines can make regular coffee along with 4 other drinks, espresso being one of them. The OriginalLine machines can only do espresso and Lungo. The VertuoLine machines use a different pod than the OriginalLine machines.Vertuo’s innovative technology uses Italian expertise and craftsmanship to brew rich tasting coffee with extra-flavor and a signature crema.
What model is the Original Nespresso machine?
Since 1986, when the very first Nespresso machine was launched, a not very good looking C100, the efforts at recreating the bar’s quality espressos at home have made Nespresso both popular among coffee drinkers and worldwide leader in the single serve pods market. At Nespresso, we offer two unique coffee systems, the Original and Vertuo. The Original range of coffee machines offers a classic espresso experience, using high-pressure extraction and the perfect balance between water temperature, quantity and speed.Of course, all Nespresso models — from Vertuo machines to mini coffee makers — have a warranty of two years, meaning the appliance is likely to last for at least that time frame. When used carefully, a Nespresso machine can actually work for up to 10 years. With its barcode technology, Vertuo offers an extremely high level of precision. The system recognizes each coffee capsule, then adjusts the brewing parameters – such as temperature, crema, flow, rotation speed and water/coffee contact time – to deliver the best results in every cup.Over time and with regular use your Nespresso® machine will experience a build-up of old coffee oils and residue in its brewing chamber. This is where old coffee residue sits, blocking the nozzle and making your coffee taste bitter and your coffee flow poor.Of course, all Nespresso models — from Vertuo machines to mini coffee makers — have a warranty of two years, meaning the appliance is likely to last for at least that time frame. Why is Nespresso Vertuo cheaper?
They have a monopoly on the Vertuo pods, so they entice you to buy the machines with a lower price. I got the vertuo bc it was on sale. I tend to exclusively order from nespresso and I was jealous of how many different flavors vertuo was getting and honestly wanted in and so the sale got me to cave and buy it.
