What does civet poo look like?
Civet feces are orange in color, there are papaya seeds in the feces. Kopi Luwak is the most expensive coffee in the world, also called as Cat Poop Coffee. It has been produced from the coffee beans which has been digested by a certain Indonesian civet cat. Kopi Luwak is the world’s most exclusive (and most expensive) coffee. The main factor of its high price is the uncommon method of production. It is produced from coffee beans which have been partially digested by the Indonesian palm civet and then excreted.The feces (yes, you read that correctly) of an Asian palm civet is used to make one of the most sought- after types of coffee, called Kopi luwak – also known as “cat poop coffee”.Therefore, Luwak coffee is considered halal by Irsyad Al-Fatwa. Indonesian Ulema Council also issued the halal status of Luwak coffee. While the coffee comes from the civet’s anus, it is considered safe and halal because the coffee beans are properly processed.
What do civets smell like?
Like other animalistic scents, civet is ambiguous. When smelled immediately after it is ‘civeted’, civet’s scent has a pungent, faecal odour. The concentrated liquid strongly smells of animal secretion (civetone, indole and scatole are the chemicals that sing to this tune). Smelled raw, it can thus explode in the nose. As most animals are sensitive to smells and scents, especially those that repulse them, the use of incense is a good and effective method to deter civets from entering your home.
Is civet cat smelly?
