Why is Starbucks Roastery special?
All 35,000 square feet of the Chicago Roastery, the largest Starbucks in the world, were designed to be a coffee lover’s dream. The Roastery, which opened in 2019, covers multiple theater‑like floors, each one alive with the sights, smells, tastes and sounds of coffee craft in motion. This beautiful coffee house is part of the Colocal chain (which specializes in chocolate drinks and desserts). Unlike Colocal, though, Roastery is more broad-based. It does focus a bit more on coffee, but the menu is wider in scope.Roasteries are large, flagship destinations featuring coffee roasting and mixology bars. Reserve Bars are smaller, offering Starbucks Reserve coffees and elevated brewing methods.
