Why is my descale coffee machine but the light still on?
If, on the other hand, the Descale light is still on even after you’ve descaled the appliance, it may be that the descale process may not have been correctly completed by your machine, skipped or carried out too quickly. Your machine will indicate when it needs to be descaled by automatically activating the clean/descale light. This light will remain on whenever you use the machine and will only turn off after you’ve completed a descale cycle.Turn off the unit, remove the water reservoir, push and hold the 8oz and 10oz button (while the unit is still off). That should reset the descale message. After the descale solution runs through, the machine expects you to run multiple tanks of fresh water through it. If the rinse wasn’t finished, the light won’t turn off. Fill the tank with clean water. Run at least 12 oz cycles repeatedly until the add-water light comes on.

The descale light comes on when it’s some type of build up from the water that’s running through it or there’s an issue with reusable Kcups. When the rinsing cycle is complete, fill the water tank again with fresh water. The descaling light will now turn off.

This process removes calcium deposits, or scale, that can build up inside a coffee maker over time. Calcium and scale are non-toxic, but left unattended, they can hinder your brewer’s performance.Fill water container approximately halfway full with White Vinegar {or enough to brew 2 cycles} Place a mug where you’d normally place your coffee mug, and run a brew cycle {without a k-cup}. The vinegar will run through the machine, cleaning it out along the way!If the Keurig descaling solution isn’t on hand, white vinegar is the cleaning solution you can have on hand. You’ll want to do equal parts water and vinegar.Run the coffee maker through two complete brew cycles to flush the unit after descaling. Use a full carafe of fresh cold water each time.Step 1: Ensure the Water Reservoir is filled with fresh water. Step 2: Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and water brew cycle. Pour the contents of the large mug into the sink. Step 3: Repeat brew process until “ADD WATER” is indicated.
Why does my Keurig still say descale after I scale it?
When the Keurig descale light stays on, it is often because the water reservoir is full. This is because the descaling process requires water, and it is the water reservoir that contains the water. If the water reservoir is complete, then the descaling process won’t be able to start, and the light won’t turn off. It’s not even that old. Thanks. To turn off the descale feature on a Keurig, press and hold both the cup size and ounce buttons simultaneously for a few seconds; this should reset the descale light and exit the descale mode on most Keurig models.
