What to use Cafiza for?
Cafiza powder. Eliminates coffee residue and oils from espresso machine groupheads, valves and lines. Keeps screens and filters clear for even extraction. Can also be used to make a soaking solution to clean portafilters, baskets, screens, and other parts. For serious clogs, you’ll need to use espresso machine cleaning tablets—we generally recommend the cafiza brand. Simply mix the cleaning product with warm water and soak your portafilter and baskets for 30 minutes, making sure to rinse thoroughly afterward.COFFEE OIL REMOVER DETERGENT (powder/liquid) Thoroughly removes coffee plaque from brewing groups and contours, and is also to clean holders, dispersion screens and drain trays. Perfect for cleaning all parts an espresso machine.Soak filters and metal of portafilter for 30 minutes in 1 teaspoon (6 g) of Cafiza® Powder per 32 oz (1 L) of hot water. Rinse with clean hot water.Remove the spent espresso from your portafilter and wipe and purge the steam wand after each use. A full cleaning with Cafiza should be done once/week.
