Why is my Nespresso not making the right size coffee?
What can I do? All Original Nespresso machines have an Espresso (small) and Lungo (large) cup button. They should pour your coffee to 40ml and 110ml, respectively. If the pour volumes on your machine are different to this, the cup size settings may have been changed or the machine may need to be descaled. Simply press the button to brew your pods into shorter, more concentrated shots ideal for coffee recipes. Of my favorite hacks with an espresso virtuo is turning all pods into a double espresso even the flavored ones.
Why is my Nespresso machine only making half a cup?
The cause: You probably reprogrammed the machine’s pour volume by accident. Many Nespresso models, like Pixie or Essenza Mini, have a hidden pour volume function. In Nespresso machines, you usually have two buttons corresponding to two sizes — either Espresso or Lungo. Check that the water tank is well positioned. Empty and clean the capsule container. If problem persists, call the Nespresso Club.
