Simultaneously press and hold both cup buttons for 3-5 seconds to exit descaling mode. The lights will become steady or slow down and then become steady. Empty and rinse the capsule container, water tray and drip tray before reassembly.You can exit the descaling mode by pressing and holding the coffee button and lever down at the same time for 3 seconds. When flashing, press the 12oz button to start the descaling process. Once the brew is complete, pour the hot liquid into the sink.If there is no intention to clean, descale, or empty the system, then push the button to stop the machine. If the machine is still blinking, exit descaling mode by holding the button for at least 7 seconds.

Allow the machine to rest for 10 minutes. The machine is now ready for use. The orange light will blink once every 2 seconds.Run the coffee maker through two complete brew cycles to flush the unit after descaling. Use a full carafe of fresh cold water each time.Run a brew or cleaning cycle, empty the carafe and run 2-3 more brew cycles with fresh, cool water. Wash carafe and brew basket with hot, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Vinegar is slightly acidic which helps it break down mineral build-up in your coffee maker.Descaling solution is better than vinegar for descaling your coffee machine. The descaling process should be treated carefully to preserve your machines lifespan, and descaling solution is more gentle and custom designed for the job.
