Why is it so hard to find Nespresso Vertuo pods?
The Vertuo system is still under a patent, so there are no third party pods. You will not see any until ~2030. Until then, your only options will remain Nespresso pods, which includes the Starbucks branded pods, which are actually produced by Nespresso under a licensing agreement. The only pods that will work in the Vertuo machine are those with the barcode on the underside of the pod. This tells the machine how much water/ temp/ etc to use. It’s more sophisticated than I thought. So far, we haven’t been able to find any other pods that work in the machine other than the Nespresso brand.How is Vertuo different from other coffees, like filter or instant?
