How does Piccolo XS work?
Machine switches on automatically after removing the capsule holder. Indicator light starts blinking red while machine is heating up for approximately 40 seconds. Afterwards indicator lights steady green. Machine is ready to be used. Coffee maker is very smart – it automatically switches on when the capsule holder is removed. Preheats in 30 s. What is the yellow light on my Nescafe Dolce Gusto Piccolo XS?
If the on/off button turns orange/yellow continuously (descaling warning), you should descale the machine. Most of our coffee machines have an alert to tell you when it needs descaling and after a set number of uses, an orange or amber light will show up, which is the machine’s way of telling you it’s time for descaling. If your machine doesn’t have this feature, make sure to clean it every 3 to 4 months.
How to use piccolo coffee?
Place the capsule into the machine by dropping from a close distance so the capsule drops into place natrually. Close the lever until it clicks into place. Press either the short or long dispensing buttons to start dispensing coffee. Place the DGpod into the capsule holder of the machine. Align the front of the cover (where the small hole is located) with the centre of the machine’s capsule holder. If the machine lever doesn’t close, double check that you have aligned the capsule correctly. Adjust the water level of the machine, and brew!
