If you love a strong, classic brew and don’t mind a bit of manual work, a percolator might be your ideal choice. They’re sturdy, timeless, and great for high-strength lovers. On the other hand, if convenience, consistency, and features like programmability matter more, then a drip coffee maker might be a better fit.Which coffee maker is best for beginners? Is Kalita Wave better than V60?
How Do They Compare? Both are pour-over methods, and we find the Kalita Wave a more forgiving vehicle for early-morning brew. But if you have a truly special coffee, the V60 is our go-to to extract the ultimate flavor profile. They both produce excellent results when paired with the proper coffee. We find that flat bottomed brewers like the Kalita Wave are the most user-friendly. They make it easy to achieve good results more consistently when compared to conical-shaped brewers like the V60 or Chemex. That said, the V60 and Chemex can produce coffee with a bit more flavor clarity.
