Italy. Every day, up to 5 million cups of illy coffee are consumed. Their secret is a strict selection process of Arabica beans in order to do justice to the daily demand for top quality. Illy is my favorite bean. It’s just so damn expensive in the US ($15 – $20 for a standard size bag). Ironically, in Italy, it’s considered the cheap, everyman’s coffee.
