Is the DeLonghi La Specialista Arte worth the money?
Excellent quality and performance! Highly recommend. I have had a few espresso machines over the years and was trained as a Barista. I actually like the interaction with this La Specialista Arte more than my super-automatic. My experience with both Breville and DeLonghi is that the Breville machines are often easier to use – their controls are more intuitive and it takes less time to make a good espresso.Awarded best espresso machine of 2025 by cnn underscored: the la specialista opera won us over with its affordable price and smooth, balanced results. Factor in its price, it deserves this top spot. Our favorite espresso machine is the breville bambino plus. It’s easy to use and has excellent temperature consistency (important for pulling top-quality shots). We also highly recommend the breville barista express impress, which has a built-in grinder and a tamping arm. Both brands use versatile grinders that offer a decent 13 grind settings for precision. However, in my experience, Philips offers finer grinding capabilities. In contrast, DeLonghi excels at coarser settings. This works for those who occasionally brew with methods other than espresso.
