What is the difference between Comandante C40 and C60?
The C60 Baracuda® contains a burr set that is a lot bigger compared to the Nitro Blade® in the C40 grinders. Due to this, it grinds significantly faster. The burr set itself is made from the same tried and tested steel as the Nitro Blade® burr sets. The Comandante C60 Baracuda grinder has 21 microns between each click, this is smaller than the c40 which has 30 microns between each click and is just slightly larger than the Comandante C40 with the Red Clix upgrade installed (15clicks).The Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade is still a fantastic manual grinder. Great build quality, superb accuracy, and easy grinding make it one of the top choices even 11 years after its first release. The main downsides are that it’s quite slow for espresso and fairly expensive compared to the competition. Both the traditional Comandante C40 range and the Comandante C60 Range offers excellent grind size distribution across all grind sizes and accounts for grinding coffee from espresso to pour over and even coarser grind sizes such as Cold Brew and cupping brew methods.
Why is C60 important?
Exploring the Benefits of Carbon 60 One of the most interesting property of C60 molecules is their ability to scavenge free radical species. This means they absorb reactive species and heavy metals that can cause damage in the body, acting like a sponge. It is this property of C60 that is described as antioxidant. Our findings reveal a general mode by which C60 causes DNA/RNA damage or other toxic effects at a systematic level, suggesting it should be cautious to handle these nanomaterials in various medical applications.
What is C60 good for?
C60 strongly absorbs free radicals, inhibits the toxicity of chemical toxicants, resists radiation, prevents ultraviolet damage, and prevents heavy metal–induced cell damage. Abstract. C60 is a potent antioxidant that has been reported to substantially extend the lifespan of rodents when formulated in olive oil (C60-OO) or extra virgin olive oil (C60-EVOO).
