What is the history of dancing goats?
One of the first legends of how coffee came to exist is of the myth of Kaldi, the Ethiopian goatherd and his dancing goats. The legend states that while Kaldi was pasturing his herd, they ate some seeds of a bright green plant (the Coffea). The flock became energized, and began to dance. After some investigating, Kaldi found that the goats had been eating from an unfamiliar tree with red berries. Kaldi, feeling adventurous, decided to try the berries. After eating a few, he joined the goats dancing and frolicking around. He became the happiest goat herder around!
Who bought dancing goats?
Longtime seattle-area wholesale roasting company dillanos coffee roasters (dcr) recently acquired the west coast business of olympia, washington-based dancing goats coffee from previous owner kaldi’s coffee. The company rebranded all retail and wholesale products as dancing goats coffee and later was acquired by kaldi’s coffee in st. Louis.
