Is Moccamaster repairable?
Moccamaster USA will repair your brewer even after the 5-year warranty period has ended, for a minimal fee (usually about $59). To keep the best tasting coffee and to guarantee the machine’s lifespan, you should regularly clean and descale. We recommend cleaning and descaling your Moccamaster after brewing 100 times (1 pack of filters).We recommend using Urnex Dezcal orBioCaf Descaling Powders. We don’t recommend using vinegar to descale; it’s not strong enough to break down mineral buildup. In addition, it can leave a lingering odor and aftertaste in your future brews.First of all, we recommend descaling and cleaning after every 100 coffee brews, which is equivalent to one pack of filter paper. This will ensure that your Moccamaster stays in top condition!Descaling a coffee maker with vinegar is a simple way to keep your machine performing at its best. With filters and grounds removed, fill the reservoir to max using half water, half white distilled vinegar. Run a brew or cleaning cycle, empty the carafe and run 2-3 more brew cycles with fresh, cool water.
